He robbed the same pharmacy in Milan three times in a month, always on Fridays and always between 2:00 and 2.30 PM. And these habits were the downfall for Paolo Davide Simula, a 26-year-old convict, arrested by the officers of the Scalo Romana police station at the end of the last robbery at his “usual” pharmacy in via Boifava. The man was stopped as he ran away after taking 265 euros away from owners who he threatened with a toy gun. The investigators had been stationed outside in the hope that the bandit who had robbed the pharmacy on January 10th and 24th would return to the scene: he had only skipped Friday the 17th. Simula had already been arrested a year and a half ago for 12 robberies committed in Milan in pharmacies and other businesses and was released from prison in July 2013: since then he has been under house arrest. In October he was granted permission to go to rehab twice a week, including on Fridays from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM. He is also under investigation for another robbery committed on January 31 in a post office in via Cassano D’Adda, committed with an accomplice.
